At least a bit. You&#8217;ll have to know what is going on out there.\u00a0In this first post I&#8217;ll give you some simple tips and quick wins on using social media for your dive center.<\/p>\n<p>When you use social media you are doing online marketing. It is a way to interact with potential clients all over the world. It is also a perfect way to stay in touch with your existing customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We al know about social media tools like<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Twitter<\/li>\n<li>Facebook<\/li>\n<li>LinkedIn<\/li>\n<li>Flickr<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\r\n    <iframe\r\n      src=\"https:\/\/rushkult.com\/blank\/cards?location=Any+destination&sport=Any+sport\"\r\n      frameBorder=\"0\"\r\n      style=\"width: 100%; height: 500px\"\r\n    ><\/iframe>\r\n\n<p>But what to do with it? That is not why you got into diving<\/p>\n<p><strong>Probably most of your (potential) customers are living in a concrete jungle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The chances are that you are based in one of those\u00a0beautiful\u00a0places on earth. Surrounded by a blue ocean, beaches, nature and most important you&#8217;ll get to scuba dive as much as you want.\u00a0So the excuse I have nothing to share is non\u00a0existing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media: Which channels should u use<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Create a Twitter account. <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\">Sign up here<\/a>, upload \u00a0your logo and write a short bio. Easy does it. Try to\u00a0post\u00a02 to 3 tweets a day about what you have seen on a dive. Tweet some pictures from the open water course that you are doing? This is the kind of information your potential customers would like to see.<\/p>\n<p>There are multiple tools to make your social media life a lot easier. I prefer to use <a href=\"www.bufferapp.com\">buffer<\/a> With this tool you can schedule updates for twitter and Facebook. When you would use a tool like this you will be running your social media even when you are bussy with your scuba business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Using Social Media: Facebook<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll have to know that Facebook doesn&#8217;t allow your scuba\u00a0business\u00a0to have a personal profile. A personal profile is there for humans. How do I know if my scuba\u00a0business\u00a0is on a personal profile?<\/p>\n<figure class=\"left\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/rushkult.com\/eng\/scubamagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/rsz_facebookname.jpg?fit=345%2C216&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Rsz_facebookname\" \/><figcaption>Use social media effective<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>If people are not able to &#8220;LIKE&#8221; your page and only become a friend you are on the wrong side of the road. But there is light at the end of the social media tunnel.\u00a0Facebook now allows you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidefacebook.com\/2011\/03\/30\/facebook-now-allows-personal-profiles-to-be-converted-into-business-pages\">convert you personal profile<\/a> into a\u00a0business\u00a0page.\u00a0Before you convert your page I recommend\u00a0that you <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidefacebook.com\/2010\/10\/20\/download-your-information-feature\">make a copy of your profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay in touch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Invite all your customers who use social media to &#8220;LIKE&#8221; your Facebook page. Give them an update now and then on what is going on in your dive center.\u00a0Chances\u00a0are that they will sitting behind a desk when the see your updates about: scuba diving, white beaches, and people having fun. Using social media like this could help you grow you business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Use the content you create every day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Offer your customers the\u00a0opportunity\u00a0to upload the video and photos they have made to your facebook page. I do not know 1\u00a0videographer or photographer\u00a0who would say now.\u00a0All these will help you to engage with potential customers world wide and help you to maintain your regular guests.<\/p>\n<p>We wanted to give you our point of view on how you could use social media.
