Dahab is still reasonably untouched by the influx of tourists.\u00a0 There are no buildings over two stories high, and there are no big brand tourist resorts yet either.\u00a0 It still has an authentic Bedouin feel to it and is just an ideal place to go if you want to enjoy the culture of a country, without the chance of bumping into your next door neighbor.<\/p>\n<p>Dahab means gold in Arabic.\u00a0 The cliffs and sand dunes that surround Dahab are of a golden color, from which it has derived its name.\u00a0 The beaches are breath taking, the water is crystal clear and it just presents a picture that would have a good place on a postcard.<\/p>\n<p>Dahab \u00a0is well known for its amazing diving opportunities.\u00a0 Of course, the marine life the Red Sea is so famous for is available in abundance in Dahab, but it is also incredibly versatile.\u00a0 It is a great place for beginner divers and more advanced divers alike.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Dive Dahab\u2019s Best Diving Sites<\/h2>\n<p>If you have some time on your hands, you can go around the whole Dahab area and find some fascinating areas.\u00a0 Just north of Dahab, for example, you can find a hole, surrounded by sapphire reef.\u00a0This is known as the Blue Hole and is classified as one of the most dangerous dives in the world. This dive site is also know as the <a href=\"https:\/\/rushkult.com\/eng\/scubamagazine\/divers-die-diving-the-blue-hole-in-dahab\">scuba divers cemetery<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>It is that the Blue Hole is deep and it has been known for divers to be so engrossed in what is around them that they have gone deeper and deeper, never to return.\u00a0 It certainly a more advanced dive.<\/p>\n<p>Another great dive in Dahab is the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.egypt.travel\/attraction\/index\/dahabs-eel-garden\">Eel Garden<\/a>.\u00a0It gets its name from the marine life that is most abundant here: the eels.\u00a0 However, you are also likely to encounter Barracudas.\u00a0 Please do remember that there are predatory fish and should be approached with caution and never to be touched.<\/p>\n<p>You could also choose to dive the Islands near Dahab, which have been officially recognized as some of the <a title=\"The World\u2019s Best Dive Sites Which Should Be On Your Bucketlist\" href=\"https:\/\/rushkult.com\/eng\/scubamagazine\/the-worlds-best-dive-sites\">best diving sites in the world<\/a>.\u00a0 There are three underwater islands made from coral.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>If you do like coral, Abu Helal is another place to go.\u00a0 Desert Divers Bay is the place to go for seahorses and you may even be lucky enough to spot the incredibly rare <a href=\"http:\/\/www.divephotoguide.com\/underwater-photography-special-features\/article\/ghost-pipefish-underwater-photography\/\">ghost pipefish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Find_sea_horses_when_diving_dahab\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/rushkult.com\/eng\/scubamagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Find_sea_horses_when_diving_Dahab.jpg?fit=600%2C350&amp;ssl=1\"><figcaption>Macro live like Seahorses can be found when diving Dahab<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Photo Credit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/19373621@N04\/3351747877\/\">divemecressi<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>The list of great dive sites near Dahab goes on and one, including:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The caves<\/li>\n<li>The lighthouse<\/li>\n<li>Om Sid<\/li>\n<li>Tia Maria<\/li>\n<li>Three pools<\/li>\n<li>Rick\u2019s Reef<\/li>\n<li>The Southern Oasis<\/li>\n<li>The Golden Blocks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Chill_and_dive_in_dahab\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/rushkult.com\/eng\/scubamagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/chill_and_dive_in_Dahab.jpg?fit=600%2C350&amp;ssl=1\"><figcaption>Relax and dive in Dahab<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Photo Credit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/89649959@N00\/2056153184\/\">jay8085<\/a> <\/p>\n<h2>Other Things to Do in and around Dahab<\/h2>\n<p>Dahab has more to offer than just diving.\u00a0 Dahab offers a variety of opportunities for water sports of course, including snorkeling, fishing and water skiing.\u00a0 You could also go for a trek in the desert on horse or camelback.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>One of the main attractions is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dahab-info.com\/tours-excursions--safaris\/canyons\/index.php\">Coloured and White Canyon<\/a>, where you will find an oasis right out of a fairy tale. As you can see, if you are thinking of diving Dahab there are many options for an epic scuba trip.
