  • Jan Thiel Baai: Jan Thiel or Jan Thiel Bay is a famous and stunning beach and scuba spot on Curacao. It's an excellent site for divers of all levels, underwater photographers, and snorkelers alike. The bay's attractions include the sunken sailboat, a deep well, and an extensive coral reef.

Boat Dives

For boat dives, we visit several dive locations. The following are some samples:

  • Jan Thiel Baai: Jan Thiel or Jan Thiel Bay is a famous and stunning beach and scuba spot on Curacao. It's an excellent site for divers of all levels, underwater photographers, and snorkelers alike. The bay's attractions include the sunken sailboat, a deep well, and an extensive coral reef.

  • Tugboat: Tugboat Curaçao is one of the island's most famous scuba and snorkeling sites. The tiny tugboat is just 5 meters deep. The wreck, which sank many years ago, is encrusted with great coral. A tremendous vertical wall lies a little farther and deeper. This location also has an outplant of the Coral Restoration Foundation Curaçao, a place where coral has been planted.

  • Lost Anchor: Lost Anchor is a great dive site at the entrance of Caracas Bay. The reef slopes down steeply and is covered in beautiful plants. Many different types of fish thrive in this area near the coral. The site is named after a long chain deep into the ocean. The chain is covered in sponges and corals.

  • Director's Bay: Director's Bay was once a private beach for the directors of Shell, but when Shell left in 1985, the beach became public. You can dive here and explore the left side of the vertical wall, which will take you down to a depth of about 15 meters: encounter stunning coral reefs and massive schools of fish in all shapes and sizes.

  • Double Reef (Advanced Diving): The Double Reef comprises two reefs that are separated by sand. That's where the name Double Reef originates. The first reef is located 30 meters from the beach. It includes anemones, fan, finger, and brain corals. The second reef offers a variety of hard corals and huge brain and star corals. The reef is in excellent condition. Not many people visit this location because of the difficult entry, high waves, and rocky beach.
