About Oktavia Dive Center

Oktavia Dive Center is the base for all cruises aboard MV Oktavia to the Similans. Oktavia Dive Center – Khao Lak Diving and our Similan Islands Liveaboard Vessel MV Oktavia is located just over an hour north of Phuket International Airport in the relaxed and easygoing town of Khao Lak, Phang Nga Province. Khao Lak Diving tours have been major draw for Scuba Divers for many years due to the town’s easy access to the world famous Similan Islands.

Originally a small village just south of the mountain road the area known as Khao Lak stretches from just south of the mountain road and up to Ban Nam Khem to the north. The distance covers around 30kms of coastline and encompasses a number of villages that are home to many guesthouses, hotels and lavish resorts.

It is from here that our Khao Lak Diving tours have been operating for over 10 Years and acting as the main gateway to the most beautiful of Thailand Islands.

Some people choose to go to the Similan Islands for diving while others head there for snorkeling or just sightseeing; whatever you’re going there for Oktavia Dive Center can help you. As well as diving and snorkeling, guests can take a wander around the stunning islands and view the breathtaking scenery of the Andaman.

About the boat 'MV Oktavia'

Our primary aim is offering live-aboard cruises to the stunning Similan Islands aboard our very own MV Oktavia. Here’s a glance at our cruises:

• Cruises around the Similan Islands from two to five days & nights

• We cater for sun worshippers & snorkelers as well as divers

• Full Padi courses available by qualified & experienced instructors

• Large en-suite Master Cabins available (additional charge)

MV Oktavia is probably the largest vessel in the Similan Islands and is built to hold 33 guests and additional crew. However, we limit this to just 20 guests so there’s always a quiet area of the boat if you want time to relax.

Our communal areas are quite large with the ‘party deck’ where we all dine together and discuss the day’s diving and up top is a sun deck with a large shaded seating area as well as sun beds and yoga mats for when it’s time to top up that tan.

Course Pricing

Prices are for courses carried out in connection with your cruise on board the M/V OKTAVIA. All courses include: Teaching materials, rental SCUBA equipment, and certification.
