Rich Coast Diving is the only PADI 5* CDC facility in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Since 2005, RCD is run by Martin - our PADI course direcor & Brenda - our shop manager and good soul to everybody.
The Dutch couple brought plenty of experience, professionalism and motivation over from their previous dive centre in Curacao.

Scuba diving in Costa Rica the is most exciting during the rainy season which runs from June through to December as this is when the level of nutrients in the water swells and vast numbers of hammerheads as well as other marine life is attracted to the region.
Costa Rica lies in a region that is prone to changeable weather due to its location close to the equator. For those looking to take advantage of the calmer seas their visits should be planned for between December and May when the waters are a little calmer.
Dive sites range from those suitable for the novice as well as the more experienced diver as the dive sites here hold something to grab almost any divers attention. There are approximately twenty dive sites to choose from ranging from drift dives to vertical wall dives.
The waters around Costa Rica are a Marine National Park and care should be taken when diving to ensure that no damage occurs to the marine environment. The scalloped hammerheads are the big draw for divers however white tip reef sharks, tiger and guitar sharks are also to be found in the region along with a variety of rays.
