About Atlantis Diving

Diving Atlantis. Scuba diving school in Tenerife.

In 2013 we started our diving school in the South of Tenerife, Spain. It is situated in the touristic village of Playa la Arena, famous for its beaches with black volcanic sand and the huge cliffs of Los Gigantes. We arrange diving trips around the whole island and pick up our divers from any hotel or apartment in the south of Tenerife.

Our Diving Centre

Our diving centre and diving equipment shop is situated on the main street of Playa la Arena that runs along the ocean. Divers will find everything in our shop needed for scuba diving. We also have a full range of dive equipment to rent for a minimal charge. You can also buy your diving insurance in our shop.

In Tenerife there are plenty of beautiful places to dive, the variety of dive spots is impressive. Our divers can choose where they would prefer to go. Every day we take small groups of divers and dive in the best places around Tenerife. We dive both from the shore and by boat (from the ports of Las Galletas, Puerto Santiago and Puerto de la Cruz).

Our Work

The instructors of our school Diving Atlantis speak English, Spanish, German, French, Russian and Polish. We guarantee our divers great service, friendly attitude and relaxed diving. We choose the spot to dive together with our divers according to their experience.

We have pools at our disposal (1.2-3.5 deep) for teaching diving courses and training dives for beginners and children. We pick up our divers from their hotels or apartments at 9-10 a.m. and return at around 4 p.m.

Are you worried that you cannot do it?

You will see that it's not so difficult. In our diving centre you will find the best conditions to start your new life as a diver. We always conduct our try dives with a personal instructor so that you feel comfortable and confident underwater and can enjoy your first experience as a diver. We enter the water from the beach so that you have plenty of time to get used to the new equipment and new way to breath. We practice the breathing with the regulator first swimming on the surface and you can take your time to adapt to it as we are never in a rush. That is a huge advantage of having a personal instructor. We then start descending, first to 1 meter and then deeper and deeper till we reach the bottom 6-8 m deep. And here you find yourself surrounded by fish, sea animals, sea stars.

What to expect?

We pick up our guests from their hotel at around 10 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. We give a full briefing to our snorkelers, put on warm suits, take masks, fins and snorkels and enter the water from the beach. We also take a swimming float so that snorkelers can have a rest from time to time, the trip is 50 min long and always lead by an instructor.

In our diving school we do courses of PADI, the biggest and most famous in the world diving federation. After finishing your diving course you will get a PADI license that will be recognizable in any dive centre of any country wherever you choose to dive. Diving course is an adventure that will open you a door to a new world. While scuba diving we watch the underwater life and discover what weightlessness is. So, join us, become a diver and then travel around the world exploring seas, oceans and lakes and find new friends among divers.

In our diving school we do courses of PADI, the biggest and most famous in the world diving federation. After finishing your diving course you will get a PADI license that will be recognizable in any dive centre of any country wherever you choose to dive. Diving course is an adventure that will open you a door to a new world. While scuba diving we watch the underwater life and discover what weightlessness is. So, join us, become a diver and then travel around the world exploring seas, oceans and lakes and find new friends among divers.

Scuba diving in Tenerife attracts divers from all over the world with its beautiful and unusual underwater landscapes and marine life. It is a perfect place to take a course.

The prices include transfer from the hotel/appartment and full diving equipment. The courses are hold by highly experienced instructors that will help you to become a good diver.

Upon finishing the course divers are qualified to dive with a buddy up to 18 m deep.

  • Duration: 2-3 days.

  • Minimum age: 10 years (from 10 to 14 years old it's allowed to dive up to 12 m).

  • The price includes PADI Open Water Diver certificate, theoretical course, swimming pool lesson and 4 dives in the ocean.

We provide our divers with a transfer from the hotel to the dive spot. Pick up hours depend on the chosen trip. Normally it's 8:30-10:00 a.m., and we return at 3:00-4:30 p.m.

In our dive centre you can rinse, dry and keep your equipment. You can also rent any piece of gear for a simbolic payment, thus you don't need to bring all your equipment on your vacations.
