There are a few sandy beaches, but this island is not for those who want to lounge on a beach all day with a drink and a book.

Rather, it is for those who want to dive into the water to witness the world below the waves and are not too concerned about what the beaches are supposed to look like.
Bonaire belongs to the Netherlands. With Aruba and Curaçao, it forms the ABC Islands, a group of islands within the Leeward Antilles, which are the southern island chain in the Lesser Antilles.
